PKK terrorists were neutralized transporting explosives and armaments on muleback in eastern Turkish province of Agri.
A provincial gendarmerie unit on Monday neutralized a small group of PKK terrorists as they were transporting explosives and arms on muleback in the eastern Turkish province of Agri, security sources said.
In the footage shared by the provincial gendarmerie, the terrorists in the Dogubeyazit district of Agri are seen trying to remove the explosives and arms, then banish the mule from the place by kicking its head and leg in order not to be tracked by Turkish security forces.
The gendarmerie forces used an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to neutralize the terrorists and saved the mule, according to gendarmerie sources.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- waged a terror campaign against Turkey for more than 30 years and has been responsible for the death of nearly 40,000 people.
More than 1,200 people, including security force personnel and civilians, have lost their lives since the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU -- resumed its decades-old acts of terror in July 2015.
