The Ukrainian Red Cross, together with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, is preparing for possible floods due to rising water levels. Rescuers explain that due to heavy rains and snowfall, as well as active melting of snow and ice, water levels in the Dnipro, Desna, Snov and Sozh river basins have disrupted transport links to coastal settlements in Chernihiv Oblast.

In accordance with the Algorithm of Cooperation between the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Red Cross, we dispatched 2 Bohun all-terrain vehicles to Chernihiv Oblast to assist in flood relief and organize life support for the affected population. Kyiv region is also preparing to respond.
